Thread by Thread: The Sustainable Story Behind Our Shirts
At Immoral Coral, every product we release carries a deeper message—one that fights for the ocean, the planet, and the truth. But behind the artwork, behind the bold slogans and coral-covered creatures, there's something else we stand firmly on: how we source our shirts.
We’re proud to partner with Allmade, a brand that shares our environmental values from thread to finish. While many companies still lean on fast fashion and corner-cutting practices, Allmade’s entire model is built on sustainability, ethics, and long-term impact.
Who is Allmade?
Allmade was founded by a group of screen printers who were tired of blank tees made at the planet's expense. Instead of settling, they created their own solution. Allmade shirts are ethically made in WRAP-certified (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) factories, supporting fair wages and safe working conditions.
But that’s not all. Allmade's signature tri-blend fabric revolutionizes what a t-shirt can be: soft, durable, and drastically lower in environmental impact. They also take full responsibility for their carbon footprint—tracking and offsetting the carbon emissions generated from producing and shipping their apparel. That means when we source their shirts, we’re not just choosing quality—we’re choosing climate accountability.
The Shirt We Use: Allmade Tri-Blend
We use Allmade’s Tri-Blend Crew Tee, a standout in both feel and function. It’s smooth, breathable, and ideal for both screen printing and all-day wear. But what makes it so special is what it’s made of—because it's not just a shirt. It’s a declaration.
This tri-blend fabric is made of:
-
50% Recycled Polyester
-
25% Organic Cotton
-
25% TENCEL™ Modal
Each of these fibers brings something vital to the table. Let’s break it down.
50% Recycled Polyester: Giving Waste a Second Life
Half of each tee is made from recycled plastic bottles—about 6 per shirt. Instead of floating in our oceans or breaking down into harmful microplastics, this waste is shredded, spun, and transformed into durable, wearable fabric.
Recycled polyester uses less water and energy than virgin polyester and keeps harmful materials out of ecosystems. By choosing this fiber, we’re literally turning trash into treasure.
25% Organic Cotton: Clean from the Ground Up
Unlike conventional cotton, which is responsible for about 16% of the world’s insecticide use, organic cotton is grown without harmful pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs. This means safer farms, cleaner soil, and fewer toxins entering rivers and oceans.
Organic cotton also uses significantly less water, making it not only better for the planet but also for the farmers and communities who grow it. It’s soft, breathable, and totally uncompromised.
25% Sustainably Farmed Modal: Softness with a Conscience
The final quarter of the blend is TENCEL™ Modal, a fiber made from renewably grown beech trees. These trees are harvested in a way that keeps forests thriving, not disappearing.
Modal is known for its luxurious softness and breathability. But it’s not just a premium feel—it’s produced in a closed-loop process, which means nearly all of the chemicals and water used during manufacturing are recycled and reused. It's sustainability at a systems level.
Why It Matters
Our oceans don’t just suffer from oil spills and plastic straws—they’re victims of fashion too. Every year, over 92 million tons of textile waste are created globally, and fast fashion is a major contributor.
That’s why Immoral Coral doesn’t just make bold designs—we make bold decisions. From the materials to the message, every shirt we release is part of a greater effort to restore balance to a world that desperately needs it.
When you purchase an Immoral Coral tee, you’re saving 6 plastic bottles from ending up in the ocean—and wearing them as a soft, stylish protest sign for ocean conservation. Your shirt becomes a statement piece with purpose.
And it doesn’t stop there—a portion of proceeds from every purchase goes directly to this year’s conservation partner: Loggerhead Marinelife Center, an organization dedicated to protecting sea turtles and preserving marine ecosystems through rehabilitation, research, and education.
We're proud to stand beside people like you—people who care enough to make conscious choices and fight for the future of our oceans. Every shirt is a ripple, and together, we’re creating waves.
We’re happy to have you here.
Wear the truth. Restore the ocean.
